Fantastic $30 Cartography Humble Bundle Is a Online Gaming GM's Dream

Following a short availability back in April, the Map Making Mega Bundle is back for a limited time available until Dec. 2. Described as a "treasure trove of assets and apps" developed by ProFantasy Software throughout their history, the entire collection is valued at more than thirteen hundred dollars. Additionally, there exist multiple package options offered in this deal.

The Main Attraction

The standout feature is definitely a lifetime license to the CC3+ software, an industry-standard cartography program that can be used to generate various types including fantasy overworld maps, detailed regional charts, city maps, and most notably, dungeon and tabletop battle maps.

Bundle Tiers

Basic Package

The cheapest bundle tier, at a minimum cost of $1, features merely four of the 39 total items: Fantasy Overland Symbol Collection, Monster Token Pack 1, Castle Source Maps, and Source Maps: Cities!. This package suits cartographers who already have CC3+, but it does offer new fantasy symbol styles for landscape mapping, more than 750 monster tokens compatible with online gaming platforms, more than two dozen aerial castle designs with 470 associated map tokens, eight fully mapped cities, plus seventy-plus building interiors.

Intermediate Package

The eight-item bundle for at least $15 is where things get more interesting by adding in a lifetime CC3+ license, Cartographer's Annual Vol 1, Tome of Ultimate Mapping, and Symbol Set 6: Isometric Cities. The Annual represents the annual collection from ProFantasy's ongoing subscription program featuring a variety CC3+ add-ons like map collections and various other tools. Isometric Cities lets you display cities with an extra dimension with isometric views from multiple angles. And the Tome of Ultimate Mapping comprises 760 pages suitable for novices and experts, full of tips and tutorials for the map-making process.

You can even design character portraits. For $30 as opposed to $15, the full bundle is so worth it, especially for cartographers who have only the annual CC3+ license seeking permanent licensing. However, it's clearly more advantageous for map-making newbies considering you even get the beginners' tutorials to help you get started. The one caveat here though the purchase is available across platforms, the software is only usable with Windows systems.

As with other Humble Bundles, a portion of each sale goes to benefit a nonprofit. For this one, that's Save the Children, an organization founded by Eglantyne Jebb in 1919 focused on improving the lives of children worldwide through education, health care, and emergency relief.
