In a unexpected collaboration that defies usual forecasts, Ubisoft has announced an in-game crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising holiday event continues from November 25 through December 22, offering free extra story content for Shadows players.

Mysterious Mission Disclosed

According to the authorized statement, "An unusual encounter leads heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a new mission, where rumors of banned practices and fearsome changes reverberate through the obscurity." The storyline features a "oddly dressed woman named Ada" who tasks the characters with traveling into the Crystal Cave—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her friend from a secret cult.

The questline centers on "bizarre tests and a terrifying adversary" and is open to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.

Recognizable Settings and Metamorphoses

The preview showcases the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was earlier where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through eras. The trailer ends with a striking moment showing a character, likely the hostage, transforming into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.
